About us
Sociedad Gallega de Polímeros, S.A. – a member of Valtalia Group – is a company devoted to the management and valorisation of industrial waste. Our strongest points are industrial plastic valorisation and polyethylene (PE) commercialisation. We own two industrial plastic valorisation plants, which grant us a high production capacity for low and high-density polyethylene.
We are located in the north of Spain, although our management and valorisation scope is both national and international. It must be highlighted that we are active within the waste collection at source in different industrial sectors. Commercial-wise, we have a clear orientation towards national and international clients, since we have a wide client portfolio, from film extrusion companies (plastic bags manufacturers, sheets, retractables) and piping manufacturers to other industrial applications.
Sociedad Gallega de Polímeros, S.A. is a member of ANARPLA – Asociación Nacional de Recicladores de Plástico (National Association of Plastic Recyclers).
Valorisation process
We build a close relationship with our material suppliers for waste management and valorisation, by implementing the best management procedures and by putting the needed machinery at your disposal in order to carry out an efficient waste management.
Logistics, selection and classification
We stand out because of our excellent logistic service – with a volume of more than 150 monthly trucks – aimed for a better handling and for our great waste withdrawal capacity.
SORTING AND SHREDDING
We have a wide experience in the design and management of washing lines. Our washing process includes our own designed machinery, which grants the highest product neatness, thus optimising the performance of the equipment included in the production line.
EXTRUSION AND CREATION OF RAW MATERIALS
Our finished (END) recycled product is of a high quality and is absolutely guaranteed, given that we only use Erema machines in the extrusion process. Erema is a leader within the extrusion machinery market and, therefore, we are backed by their experience, support and technical service.

A high production – client oriented – capacity allows us to adapt our product to the needs of every client as well as having a wide product portfolio.

Process options: Clean or washed material / Filtered 110/150 (Microns)
HOMOGENISATION
We homogenise the product in a 12-ton-silo. We introduce it in big-bags of 1,250 Kg that have been palletised, strapped and identified in order to guarantee its conservation and to facilitate its handling throughout the whole supply chain.
Comprehensive management
PRODUCTION CYCLE AND PLASTIC WASTE VALORISATION
We obtain low and high-density polyethylene pellets that will be devoted to the manufacturing of new products, therefore closing the life cycle of the materials.
Quality
We understand quality as the basis for the company's continuous improvement. We perform different controls to begin with a strict material selection process that continue until obtaining the final product. We have a quality lab where we perform trials that allow us to provide the client with information about key parameters for integrating our product into their industrial process.
EUCERTPLAST CERTIFICATION
We are the first Spanish company devoted to polyethylene recycling that obtains the Eucertplast European Certification. Eucertplast is a common European auditing system for the certification of post-consumer plastic recycling companies aimed for improving transparency, allowing the traceability of the post-consumer waste collected and establishing good recycling and commercialisation practices.
